Peter Maibom

Managing Director Australia & New Zealand

Peter is the Managing Director of Ecowize Group in Australia and New Zealand. He is the head of the leadership team and serves on the Ecowize Group Board of Directors.

Establishing the Australian division of the group in 2001 and the New Zealand division in 2002, he has significant global experience across the Ecowize Group, also covering the European, South African and American markets.

Peter led the Ecowize Group in obtaining multiple SAI Global certifications. One of those in particular, the Food Safety ISO 22000, propelled the Ecowize business to be more innovative, effective, transparent and accountable. It helped shape the organisation to achieve record growth and client retention, strengthening the group’s overall leadership position in the market.

Peter joined the cleaning industry as a management trainee at the world’s largest contract cleaning company, ISS in Denmark, and progressed to operations manager. He was instrumental in obtaining 9001 certification for the Food Service Division.

Upon arriving in Australia, Peter dedicated a number of years to EcoLab in the food and beverage chemicals division, where he specialised in cleaning and sanitation chemicals for the food industry. He also worked as commercial director for Adshel, which was a member of the APN News and Media Group at the time.

Peter holds a Master of Business Administration from MGSM. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Organisation from Aarhus School of Business and A Ship Master’s Degree, Naval studies from Copenhagen College of Navigation. Peter is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ross Donoghue

General Manager New Zealand

Having joined Ecowize in 2016, Ross has made significant contributions to growing the Ecowize business in the New Zealand market. He is a member of the leadership team and has over 40 years’ expertise in the wider food industry, previously holding senior roles in medium to large enterprises located in New Zealand, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. His industry knowledge and expertise has helped strengthen relationships and professionalism at all levels of the business.

Ross completed his education at Auckland University of Technology and NSW TAFE.

Sergio Formas

Operations Manager

Sergio joined Ecowize in 2021, he is a highly valued member of the Ecowize team and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in quality assurance, food safety, compliance and NDP in the FMCG industry and within the dairy industry (both in New Zealand and abroad). His 24 years experience encompass HACCP plans, auditing and risk management programmes, organic management programs and religious programs (Kosher, Halal).

Throughout his career Sergio has shown a primary interest in quality assurance and compliance, understanding the importance these roles has in the business, he has used the tools that facilitate these positions and can personally relate to the value creation these roles have in every business.

Sergio holds a Master of Business Administration from Massey University New Zealand, a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering and Management (Hons) from the University of Las Americas, Santiago, Chile (NZQA registered level 8), (NZQA registered level 5), a Bachelor in Food Technology (Hons), University of Santiago, Chile. (NZQA registered level 8), an Advance HACCP-Dairy (Unit Standard 28264) from AsureQuality and many more industry certifications.

Dominique Buchanan

Area Manager - Waikato & Lower North Island

Dominique joined Ecowize in 2011 and has been in the food industry for 9 years. Her knowledge and understanding of the of the food industry have been instrumental in her growth and development in Ecowize, she has been the Area Manager for more than 6 years prior to that she was the Technical Co-Ordinator since 2013.

Dominique has demonstrated a history of maintaining sound relationships with both our clients and employees and enjoy problem solving tasks, taking on new challenges and contributing to the overall success of her teams. She is skilled in Technical Compliance, Food Safety and Health & Safety Compliance, Internal Auditing and Risk Management.

Dominique is a qualified Firstline Manager which assisted in her learning the business environment within New Zealand, throughout her career she has been managing and motivating people and managed team performances to set and achieve organisational objectives while promoting an inclusive environment to value diversity and multi-cultural backgrounds for positive performance.

Vikram Singh

Operations Manager

Having joined Ecowize in 2015, Vikram has held various roles within the business, originally starting as a hygiene operator, then being promoted to site supervisor, site manager, multiple site manager, area manager central Auckland. He has helped grow the business with his ability to identify key areas for opportunities, his willingness to embrace and lead change in a dynamic industry, he has shown his expertise in a number of areas.

Vikram has been in the food industry for 12 years, and has completed a Bachelor of Arts from Kuruksheta University India, a wide range of HACCP, best practice and leadership programmes, National Diploma in Hospitality Management (Level 5), Certificate in Hospitality Management (Level 4 and 5), and a certificate in Restaurant and Bar (Level 3).
